Hi, I'm Tara - the owner and designer of Son of a Cookie.

The beginning of Son of a Cookie is a classic story of something beautiful being born during a season of darkness.
​
In November of 2023, I experienced a difficult ectopic pregnancy while navigating unexplained infertility and IVF treatments. I was lost, broken, alone with my thoughts and on a four week personal leave from work.​ That four-week break — and the little girl I lost — changed my life.
​
I threw myself into something creative and what started as a distraction quickly became a lifeline. Creating gave me a safe space to sit with my grief and to slowly ignite life back inside me.
​
Son of a Cookie is more than a brand. It’s a piece of my story, born from loss, love, and resilience — and made with heart in Milford, Michigan.
